Here are the slides from week three of Story.lab presented by Ken Janke from The Grove. There were some new folks who joined us this week so they may be interested in reviewing week one and week two slides first. How are people finding the material? I really enjoy the thought provoking nature of the content and discussion, but really think it will take quite a bit more time to define my own story. I think it's a very powerful and overwhelming process. I left my first week of story.lab totally upset because it confirmed (and made me admit out loud) some things that I've been struggling with lately. I just hadn't figured out how all of the pieces were related until it was put in this context. I apparently started this process without even knowing it earlier this year, but then made a HUGE mistake along the way when I was trying to resolve the conflict causing yet another conflict to arise. I guess I'm hoping that if I can clarify some of the missing pieces of my story it will shed some light on what I need to do to correct the course I'm on.
Hi Kristen. I sensed that when we spoke on Tuesday. I'm so glad you were able to come to story.lab. I totally agree, these are some tough questions. Hopfully reflecting on the presentations from the last several weeks will help you to start down the path of defining your own story. I have some themes bouncing around in my head like "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts". Wondering if that can be my controlling idea. Not sure... It seems to be an overarching theme of my life. Everyone has their own story they want to tell...

I have a lot of the puzzle pieces, but haven't connected them to make the story picture... I may not be able to join you on Friday, which I knew when I started this 4-week endeavor, but now it feels like a loss.
I know what you mean Rachel! What are we going to do after next week? I guess we will need to go out into the world and continue to try to build our stories... :)
We can talk about next steps this friday and see if others are interested in going farther on this journey. I hope people will try to answer some of your story questions even if you cant land the big picture yet. Remember be easy on your self.
